As with all FortéBio BLI systems, the Octet RED96e monitors binding events in real time to calculate on rates (ka), off rates (kd), and affinity constants (KD).

Each channel is independent of the others, allowing for analysis of different sample types simultaneously. Analysis can be done using a single channel or up to eight channels.
High sensitivity and versatility to detect a wide range of molecules
The high sensitivity Octet RED96e system detects a diverse range of biomolecules from molecules as small as 150 Da, to proteins to mammalian cells.
Sample plate cooling for temperature sensitive proteins
The Octet RED96e operates with a wide range in temperature (15 – 40 °C). An optional microplate evaporation cover minimises sample loss, enabling up to 12 hours of unattended run time.
Perfectly suited to operate in GxP-regulated environments
ForteBio offers an optional 21 CFR Part 11 software for the Octet RED96e system. In addition, installation and qualification (IQOQ) and performance qualification (PQ) kits are available for GxP users.
Fluidics-free Dip and Read™ format reduces assay time and maintenance cost
As with all FortéBio BLI systems, the Octet RED96e utilises FortéBio’s Dip and Read™ technology, with biosensors dipping into samples in a 96-well plate format. With no fluidics involved, all Octet systems including the RED96e are highly robust.
