In situ and online dissolution UV monitoring

Dissolution UV monitoring

Teledyne Hanson offers Pion’s line of fiber optic systems to cover all of your in situ UV monitoring needs.  Adapting your dissolution configuration with Pion fiber optic probes speeds up critical data turn-around times by eliminating HPLC back end, and gives you the ability to track compounds in real time.  Teledyne Hanson also offers four on-line UV-Vis configurations for your Vision® G2 Classic 6™ or G2 Elite 8™ dissolution testers, each incorporating the Teledyne Hanson UV-1900 series.

Real-time monitoring without sampling

With Pion’s Fiber Optic UV analysis, there is no need for sampling as the probe measures UV in real-time within the dissolution vessel.  This eliminates sampling, filtration and media replace steps as well as measurement errors from cross contamination.

Versatile online UV monitoring

Teledyne Hanson offers four on-line UV-Vis configurations with their dissolution testers, each incorporating the Teledyne Hanson UV-1900 series.  Configurations include a closed loop system, as well as single-, two- and three-bath detect & collect systems that incorporate autosampling and fraction collection.

Seamless integration and regulatory compliance

Teledyne Hanson Research’s Fiber Optic and UV-1900 systems seamlessly integrate with their dissolution testers and autosampling systems.  These configurations meet and exceed worldwide standards including compliance with USP, US FDA, ASTM, EP, JP, CE, CSA , RoHS and 21 CFR Part 11.

Hanson Research is proud to collaborate with Pion to offer fiber optic dissolution monitoring for dissolution labs around the world.  Pion’s line of fiber optic systems covers all of your in situ UV monitoring needs.  From compendial USP apparatus types, to innovative small volume configurations, Pion instrumentation offers significant advantages over more traditional techniques.

Dissolution testing at the speed of light

Vision G2 dissolution test instruments are designed for the 21st century, with state of the art electronics, mechanics, and quality throughout.  These systems are power-packed for the demands of today’s pharmaceutical scientist, from research to formulations, to quality control and assurance.

With Pion’s Fiber Optic UV analysis, there is no need for sampling as the probe measures UV within the dissolution vessel.  This eliminates sampling, filtration and media replace steps as well as measurement errors from cross contamination.  Adapting your dissolution configuration with Pion fiber optic probes speeds up critical data turn-around times by eliminating HPLC back end, and gives you the ability to track compounds in real time.

UV-1900 series

The Teledyne Hanson UV-1900 series is a compact, double-beam UV-Vis spectrophotometer wrapped in a sleek form.  The UV-1900 series, made by Shimadzu for Teledyne Hanson, uses the Czerny-Turner mounting for its monochromator, and boasts the highest resolution in its class, a bright optical system, and a compact design.  Like Vision instruments, the UV-1900 series is USB-memory ready, which enables you to save measurement data to highly versatile USB memory, and to perform data analysis and printing using a PC.

Online UV monitoring

In conjunction with worldwide partners Shimadzu and Wega Informatik, Teledyne Hanson offers four on-line UV-Vis configurations for your Vision® G2 Classic 6™ or G2 Elite 8™ dissolution testers.  Each configuration incorporates the Teledyne Hanson UV-1900 series, the spectrophotometer with the highest resolution in its class, as well as cutting-edge ARGUS/Dissolution application software from Wega Informatik for pharmaceutical dissolution testing.  Dissolution configurations include a closed loop system, as well as single-, two- and three-bath detect & collect systems that incorporate autosampling and fraction collection.
